Update

We're in lower Tennessee....crossing into Mississippi tomorrow. We're staying with Jim and Beth (who picked us up at the grocery store!). They gave us a tour of the Tennessee River (I think?) in their boat, and I had a chance to do some cliff jumping. They're letting us stay in their guest cottage, which is nicer than most hotels. More updates later!

  1. I had been waiting to see if folks in the South turned out to be as open, friendly, and generous as you have experienced elsewhere. And Jim and Beth from Tennessee certainly are displaying the famous Southern hospitality. Also, you are certainly covering the miles more quickly now - Mississippi, Alabama, and then home territory in Florida. Looking forward to your next update.

  2. So glad we were able to meet you on the trip! We were already impressed that you had logged over 2,200 miles on the bikes. We were really blown away when we realized that you have so much extra weight with water, the tent, sleeping bags and clothes! Keep up the good work!
